Historians win three campus-wide teaching prizes.

Prof. Digeser Distinguished Teaching, Prof. Spickard Outstanding Graduate Mentor, and Lily Welty Outstanding Teaching Assistant.

Three UCSB Historians have won campus-wide outstanding teaching awards for 2007-2008.

Professor Elizabeth Digeser won an Academic Senate Distinguished Teaching Award.

Professor Paul Spickard won the Outstanding Graduate Mentor Award. Professor Spickard is the second historian to win this award since it was created three years ago. Professor Hal Drake won the award last year.

Graduate student Lily Welty won an Academic Senate Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award. Lily Welty is the eleventh History graduate student to win this award in the past ten years.
