Personal Statement:

Justin Bengry is a postdoctoral Research Fellow at Birkbeck College, University of London. He is a cultural historian of modern Britain researching the relationship between homosexuality and capitalism. He is an Associate of the Raphael Samuel History Centre, Editorial Fellow for History Workshop Online, and undertook research for the Historic England initiative Pride of Place. Justin is founder and editor of the international history of sexuality blog NOTCHES: (re)marks on the history of sexuality.
