Public HistoryGraduate Student Office: 4010 Bren Hours: Advisor: Ann Marie Plane Exploring rural historic landscapes has been and continues to be a lifelong pursuit. My current research examines the California missions and ranchos, focusing on the Spanish construction of space as an overlay on the indigenous culture. Interaction and transfer of knowledge impacted the landscape and created a new place: California. Dissertation Title
