Professor Fink is a famed scholar of the American labor movement in the Gilded Age and Progressive Era. He is the author or editor of a dozen books, including The Long Gilded Age: American Capitalism and the Lessons of a New World Order (2014), Workers in Hard Times: A Long View of Economic Crises (2014), and Workingman’s Democracy: The Knights of Labor and American Politics (1985).
