Early Modern Europe

The emphases in early modern European history are early modern
political, cultural, urban and diplomatic history of France, early modern
political and religious history of Britain, late medieval/early modern
Portuguese empire. Major themes are the interrelationship of religion,
politics and thought, the interplay between center and periphery of
early modern Europe, the intellectual, cultural and political process
of identity-formation in early modern monarchies.
