This is Page 4 of Kokin kousei, Shinsen zeni kagami (Corrected Against Past and Current Records, A New Selected Mirror of Cash Coins).

This page shows the end of the first fascicle and the first page of the second fascicle. The colophon at the end of the first fascicle identifies the publisher and date as I introduce on the top page.

The coins on the right are classified as "no. 9 coins" and the note following them says "The above number 9 coins are worth about 2 rin." That is to say, about two normally circulating one mon coins! I look at the Ryuukyuan Taise Tsuuhou and Setaka Tsuuhou and think that today they are worth 20-30 dollars and at least that many times a common Kan'ei tsuuhou from the Edo period.

Because each page file is a large JPG (around 200K each) I have made a separate web page for each of the10 pages of the book. Use this bar to navigate to the page you want. Use the cover image in the green rectangle to navigate to the top page.
