About the Author
I am a first year Sociology major at UC Santa Barbara. I took History 2C as a pre-major requirement, but found it instantly captivating. I wrote about American Exceptionalism after Prof. Marcuse sent out an e-mail stating what an ideal event Wilson's lecture would be for the research paper. My knowledge of the topic had been minimal before attending the lecture. After applying course concepts to the lecture, I was able to get more out of it.
