History 4BWestern Civilization (1050 CE to 1715 CE)TR 11:00-12:15 IV Thea 1General survey courses, designed to acquaint the student with major developments that have influenced the course of western civilization from 1050 CE to 1715 CE. These developments are as likely to be in religion, the arts, and sciences as in the more traditional political field. Weekly discussion sections are an important feature of this course, enabling the student to develop and expand upon material presented during the lecture hour.
