United States History
B.A., York University; M.A., Texas State University
Office: HSSB 3231
Advisor: Nelson Lichtenstein
My interests are labor and working-class history, intellectual property, popular culture, comparative unfree labor regimes, the history of the Left, and social theory/critical historiography. I am working on a project concerning talent guilds and struggles over intellectual property rights in the post-WWII era, which I hope to develop into a dissertation. I am also continuing to work on research on race, popular music and the American South, and on the history of convict labor in the United States.
